Rev. Larry Starett, Pastor/Elder

Pastor Larry Starett & his wife, Becky, have been with us since January of 2001, making them our longest-serving team. They have been married just over 40 years. They have 3 adult children, and 9 grandchildren.

Pastor Larry received his Bachelor's Degree from Cedarville University and his Master's Degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and Graduate School. He is active in the Calumet Fellowship of Regular Baptist Churches, and has served on the Board of Directors for the Crossroads Fellowship, our State fellowship of churches. He participates in the Pastors Advisory Council for Cedarville University. Becky also graduated from Cedarville University and serves in both the Music Ministry and Women's Ministries.

Rev. Bob Blair, Elder

Bob & his wife, Lisa, have been at OBC since October of 2018.  They have been married over 20 years.

Bob served as the Associate Pastor of Portage Avenue Baptist Church in Portage, Indiana, for thirty years. He and Lisa are actively involved with the AWANA Children's Ministry and the Word of Life Student Ministry at Open Bible Church. Lisa is the Director of our Vacation Bible School. Bob also manages the livestream and video productions for OBC.

Dr. Wayne A. Vanderwier, Elder  

Dr. Wayne Vanderwier & his wife, Susie, have been at Open Bible Church since June of 2007. They have been married 50 years and have 5 children, four of whom are married, and 21 grandchildren.

Wayne is privileged to serve God as the Director-at-Large of Overseas Instruction in Counseling, an international biblical counseling training ministry (and ACBC Certified Training Center) featuring both local church-based (CLT) and graduate-level degree programs (MABC) serving in more than 30 nations around the world. He was the founder and executive director of OIC for 14 years. Prior to this, he was a pastor for 32 years. He is a Fellow of the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors, and the International Ministry Team Leader for the Biblical Counseling Coalition. He is also certified by IABC. Susie is involved with OIC behind the scenes. She also creates and manages the OpentheBible.com website for Open Bible Church.
